Martin Crump is a life-long resident of Mississippi. As a young man, he spent long hours working on the family farm in Monroe County, while also working for his father’s construction company. During college, Martin was a surveyor technician with the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers. He also served the country in the U. S. Army and U. S. Army Reserve for eight years. During this time, Martin gladly participated in Operation Desert Shield/Storm. These experiences, his work ethic, and his public service drew him to a career of protecting individuals’ rights. Martin’s legal service to the community includes the areas of employment discrimination and civil rights discrimination. His current practice areas include nursing home neglect, medical malpractice, pharmaceutical litigation, and medical devices litigation.

Martin attended and graduated from Mississippi State University. He attained Bachelor degrees in Psychology and Philosophy, with a minor in Religion. Martin received his Juris Doctorate from Oklahoma City University. His memberships include the Mississippi Bar Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Mississippi Trial Lawyers Association, and the Harrison County Bar Association. Martin is currently licensed to practice law in the Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi, all state courts in Mississippi, the U. S. Court of Veteran’s Appeals, and the U. S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit. Martin is also licensed to practice law in Texas, Pennsylvania and District of Columbia. In 2010, Martin was distinguished by the American Trial Lawyers Association as one of the top 100 trial lawyers.

Over the past several years, Martin has represented clients in numerous pharmaceutical/defective medical device litigations, such as Trasylol, Gadolinium, Avandia, Heparin, Sprint Fidelis, Bausch and Lomb, and Vioxx. During this time, Martin has served on the plaintiff’s steering committees (the committees charged with directing the litigation) in the Hydroxycut and Chantix litigations. He has also served on the committees conducting discovery for the litigations of hormone replacement therapy, Yaz/Yasmin, Chantix, and Hydroxycut. Finally, he has also served on the scientific evidence committees for the Yaz/Yasmin and Chantix litigations. His service on the committees shows our commitment to the various litigations in which Davis and Crump, P. C. represents clients.

Martin currently resides in Diamondhead, Mississippi with his wife, Latrisha, and their four children, Kaylee, Madison. Lilly Grace, and Zoe. He and his family attend Diamondhead Baptist Church. Martin enjoys golf, sport fishing, and he is an avid hunter.
